Shihan Michael Bukala, 8th Dan, is a well-known competitor and tournament administrator. He is an expert on kata, open hand and weapons, and is the President of the Kobudokan, US Kobudo. As a competitor, he won numerous Bushido Awards in the once powerful USKA under Robert Trias and won so many tournaments in the USA that there is no room to mention them here. He is noted as an instructor, but is truly internationally renowned for his operation of tournament throughout the world.
