Shihan Joseph Gabriel is an 8th Degree Black Belt in Karate and 9th Degree in Taiho Jitsu. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology at Honolulu University and wrote the Broken Code of Silence and Civil Rights and Police Misconduct. He has served as a police officer and deputy sheriff and has done extensive work with the US Department of Justice, Department of the Army, Department of the Treasury, and the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council.He has trained under Hanshi Anderson for over 30 years. Shihan Gabriel has a Private Investigators License and has run the Harvard University Program on Young Negotiators. He won gold at the International Police Olympics in Australia. He is currently a Vice Commander of the PSDI.
